Storage

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 8, 2009, 4:54 AM

Well as you can see, I've put all my stock into storage. "Why?!", you might ask. Well, obviously I haven't been really active for ages and as lindowyn-stock said correctly: Inactive stock-artists are a pain in the ass, you can't ask any questions and you do not know when you're allowed to use what when and so on, you get the point I suppose.

Anyway: If you still have stock photos taken by me on your harddrive, you do not have to delete them and you're still allowed to use them but please notive, that you still have to abide my rules:

____________________________________________
~ Please drop a note, write a comment on the used stock or on my frontpage if you used my stock. Do make sure you do that, otherwise I will not be able to :+fav: it and comment on the work.
Still important, I mean I might come back and then I want to see what's been done, while I was gone :D

~ Link back to my frontpage or to the deviation used in the comment of your work.
FAQ #81: How can I make links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?

~ If you use my stock for manipulations I do really beg you: Don't just change the colors, saturation or put a border around it. That is not a manipulation. Make some effort!
If I find any "manipulation" I think to be unsuitable I will ask you to put it down. (That does not mean I will ask manipulation beginners to put down their work, just because I don't like it. Just show me you tried hard.)

~ You may use my stock in any prints on dA, print permission is granted for everyone on this website. Still I'd like you to note me if you do so, just in case I want a copy for myself.

~ You may use my stock outside dA as long as you credit me properly. That means: link back to my deviantART profile and note me!

~ Any commercial use outside deviantART is not allowed.
No exceptions I'm sorry, I say any I mean any.

~ Do not use my stock photos in any pornographic or hate work. Hate work includes any:
racist, religiously discriminatory, homophobic and similar, or art directed against one person of group of persons. I hope you get the point.

~ Do not use my stock to create new stock. I know I allowed that before, but I don't do it anymore. Why? Because I like bananas...
Any stock made with my stock before today (that is 28.01.2008) may still be offered. Anything submitted after this day may definitly not

~ Do not claim any of my pictures as your own. That is submitting any picture of my gallery without any changes as a photography again. Same counts for other sites. If I find anyone submitting my stock as his I will hunt you down and eat your nose I swear it!

~ Do violate any of these rules and you will have to take down the artwork. I'm not an evil person normally, but I'll be strict about that from now on. You can still submit it again with a propercredit.

~ I may change these rules whenever, however and why ever I want to.

~ If you have any questions note me, I'll try to answer it...
____________________________________________

Uhmmm yes anything else? I do not think so. I might drop in from time to time, quite often to be honest but I don't have the time to go through all the notifications anymore. I have about 1200 messages and 600 notes that just takes way too long if what you actually have to do is study fuckin Physics and Chemistry :D

Aaaand there is something else: *Iardacil if you want to use anything made with my stock for a bookcover/anything, go for it! Maybe just comment on this journal? That'd be great :)

Yeah well that's it, have a great time and blabla ;) Most of those who "know" me can contact me via Skype/facebook, anyone who can't at the moment but wants to in the future, leave a comment :)

Oh and merry christmas and a happy new year :D

Knowing and other stuff

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 25, 2009, 3:07 AM

Bam!

I just felt like updating my journal again I mean it's been ages and I have to admit I've been quite abscent (and that will continue I'm afraid).

Well been to the cinema yesterday and watched "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage. (carefiuul might containt spoofer (do you call that spoofer? well whatever))
First of all I have to say I don't like Nicolas Cage... he's always playing the same character, looks exactly the same and has this stupid "I am a treasure hunter muhaha"-pose which sucks...
The story is quite nice and the movie is (yes I admit it) a bit creepy... c'mon strange people in the forest staring at young kids are creepy!
The accidents (plain crash and train tube thing) were amazingly animated, it looked real and the camera was really nice as well (shaking and stuff), liked that.
But after a while there were just too many effects. Seemed to become more and more a show off movie for the animation artists. Yah and well the end was... bad. Just a thing of taste probably but I didn't like it at all.

On other notes:

Artician

Got myself an artician account [link], but there too I am not very active, which leads me to

Inactivity

Uni's requiering quite a deal of work... well not really but I just feel the urge to busy myself doing stuff for it so I rarely have time to check dA.
In addition to that I'm often doing something with my friends here and since I am no single anymore that takes away a little time as well ;)
So excuse me if I don't answer. If it's something urgent write an email.

Cheers! :)

95 deviants say Yes!:eager:

Well, who are you people?! Gimme your names and I'll add you to my watchlist and don't forget to note `mynti about it so she can add you to her doodlers list as well (if she's got time ;) ).

But I have to say I'm impressed, didn't think there were that many :D

69 deviants said What?

Okay it's really easy, there are just a couple of rules:

:bulletgreen: Rules

1) No excused, just DO IT~! :#1:
2) Spend as little or as much time as you want
3) Draw whatever you want
4) Anyone can join

Check out `mynti's site for a listing of daily doodlers and examples, or look at this small collection:

Internet problems - done!

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 4, 2009, 2:30 PM

Problems

Thank you Pierre!!

solved
I'm stupid^^

Heya!
Sorry for bothering you with my everyday stupidity but I gotta problem with FF 3 (the newest version cause I just updated it to try if that helps).
Well every time I close the browser it "forgets" that I'm supposed to be still logged in on every page that I want to be still logged in. (iGoogle, dA, hotmail you get the idea).
It still saves the passwords and stuff, so if I start typing in my e-mail in G-Mail it suggests the appropriate adress I entered before and when I click on that it automaticalle inserts the password. Fine enough, but I don't want to do these 3 clicks every time I open FF anew.

Anyone got an idea?

Which reminds me. I got a bluescreen while browising facebook today which said for safety issues my pc will be shut down now. Well great I thought, hopefully it didn't crash like totally and everythings gone. I was lucky. It started peacefully after and didn't bother me in any way except that FF thinks it has a need to be kinky -.-

I'd very much appreciate every help you might be able to give!

Life stuff

Back in Germany

I'm back in Germany again, after 6 weeks working in a hostel in Scotland (check it out: www.comriecroft.com). I had an absolutely wonderful time. I wouldn't say the best of my life but it's in the line up.
It was gorgrous to not have to think/worry about your future and to just live in the moment :aww:

Uni

I got accepted at Heidelberg University for English and Politics (aiming to become a teacher).
Semester starts start of April and I also got a flat (more or less) nearby, which is cool. Didn't want to spend 3 hours a day sitting in a train just to get to uni and back, plus all the cool people are gonna be there and not at my parents house, right?!
(anyone studying in Heidelberg btw? :D)

dA stuff

<div class"header2">New stock

Hope you like the new stuff. These are the best shots of Scotland I can come up with (stockwise) and there won't be more now, sorry about that, hope it's 'nuff. :D

Doodles

No more doodles for the moment, sorry. Fell rather depressed which is a creativity killer, hence nothing like that. Might come back to it later tho.
Keep it up guys you do a fantastic job ('specially `bluem00n and ~BlackDelphin by kickin people's asses *g*)

I joined the club #What-lies-behind, go check it out. They really feature some nice background stuff and tbh, what's a manip without a decent background? Right: nuthin much. So go and look!

Going to Scotland

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 10, 2009, 6:09 AM

Scotland

First of all thanks for those who replies to my Painting Help journal.

Well I finally found a job abroad, namely near Perth (Perthshire, Scotland, UK), working on a "Hostel/B&B/Camping" site, helping with the regular mainteneance.
Flight's going on tuesday, so don't expect me to hang around here on that day.
Don't know how frequently I'll be able to come online so everything's going to be slowed down a lot (or maybe just a little) for the next 2-something months.
Hope to get some nice photos done :D

Well I wish you folks all the best, see you around and have a good time

Painting Help

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 8, 2009, 2:08 PM

Well well well... some of you might have noticed I'm veeery much into digital painting, especially appreciating other's work (ghosh I nearly love each and every digital painting that is rather well excecuted.)
Hence, gotta make a little feature for my favourites (they are well known enough but I fell like mentioning them):

~acidlullaby
~AURORY
`dahlig
*ceruleanvii
`Dianae
*enayla (who should seriously come back :( )
*kerembeyit
*nathie
~Sussi1
*Tammara

Alphabetical order, check them out, you have to luv them! (well you don't have to but you will :D)

Sooo after appreciating them for a couple of months I thought: What the heck, give it a try.
So I started, awkwardly first but improving.

Still I have some questions:

Everytime I try to blend the colours, they fade into something greyish. I also noted *ceruleanvii with that question but I figured the more ideas the better so give it a shot :)

Well next thing is: I'm trying to paint eyes atm. The best thing I managed so far is:

But I feel there are still loads of mistakes. I'd love if anyone could point them out for me (I don't min overpainting or any other kind of abuse )

Hope to hear from someone, who knows something about that :)

Personal

Well I'm back from skiing obviously and it was gorgeous!
We had 6 days of bright sunshine and no clouds at all. It snowed the night from 31st to 1st but only during the night. The time we woke up in the morning clouds were hanging in the valley but as soon as we got in the lift they vanished :aww:
Don't really know if that was a good thing though, my legs hurt like hell :D
Hope your new year started great and will continue great too :)

Break - Update

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 10, 2008, 12:50 PM

Do you call this a problem? I think it is, maybe I'm slightly addicted to dA but better than be an alcoholic or something so just (f word) it. Here I am again.
Not fully active but at least stock's all up, too many people were like
"buaaahhh where's your this and that pack", why do you put it into storage *cryyyy* blah blubb and my hearts too weak to stand that for too long -.-

But as said, not fully active so don't expect me to comment every poop!

Love ya :D

Oh and fuck that sub nao I have this fucking ugly standard skin on my frontpage, gosh

Old farts

Hey people...

I considered I need a break from dA.
I spend way too much time, sitting in front of my screen like an idiot, staring at it, refreshing my message center and stuff, so I figured it has to stop.
Unfortunatle I know myself and I know I won't stop if I don't take a drastic brake.

Hence here's the thing:
- My Gallery's going to be in storage. Everyone who's saved my images on her/his computer might still use it. MY RULES STILL APPLY
- I wanted to "uncheck" these "notify me when someone posts something" things on my watchlist.
I accidentally deleted my whole watchlist. Shit happens that's life, sorry about that nothin personal.

Oh I still one or two peeps gifts for their contests (~Cat-in-the-Stock and *FrozenStarRo if I'm not mistaken). I'm sorry I won't do the journal feature for the winners but just email me who'll get the three month subscriptio as soon as you know it (tariel89@googlemail.com)

As for ~ArtOfDecay-Stock's contest entries... I'll leave them up. If you will actually pick them as the winner email me as well :aww:

Soo see you (sorry to put it that way again nothing personal) hopefully not too soon.

Bye :)

Need your help (UK Citizens)

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 16, 2008, 11:32 AM

Help Needed

Okay, this sounds very spectacular now, don't worry I'm neither ill nor am I going to commit suicide if you don't cheer me up...

I spent the last weeks looking for jobs in the UK surfed various sites, that offer jobs but unfortunately you either have to be a student with your third semester completed or - even better - have to have a bachelor degree.
Since I lack both but have free time from the 5th of January till the 28th of March (approximately), I'd love to spend my time, actually doing something and by doing that improve my English and be in a foreign country.
So if you live in the UK (yes I want to go there ;) ) and you have a job to offer that doesn't need much knowledge or you know someone who might offer a job to me, please please please, send me a note, it'd be so appreciated!

Oh yes, I'd do pretty much anything, I mean I don't mind bein a waiter or bar attendant or help with garden work.
I tried to get into the fulltime vollunteer program of the National Trust but unfortunately you have to work for 3 month, and my time's limited to a bit below these three months. I wrote them an e-mail but did not yet get an answer. So if you work for the National Trust and might be able to help me here I wouldn't mind you writin a note either :giggle:

Thanks in advance :aww:

A nice fitting theme for the time of the year :)

Music

Hullow everyone... I have a very urgent question. Okay not so very urgent but still, my skin crawls not knowing what this song is called.
I got a pretty crappy record of it, which I uploaded (hope I don't infringe any copyright :S ) and I wish some of you might know what it's called or by who...

Dear Baronesses, Counts and Marquis,

As the year is dawning and winter is settling, it is with the greatest pleasure that I invite you all to a party as no one, even in Versailles or Venice, has ever seen. We shall cross two centuries of art in one go.
So put on your best wig, because once you have crossed the gates of my chateau, the sound of viols and the flow of wine will carry you in an endless spin of lavish pleasure. Taste the finest foods; listen to the fanciest music from France, Spain an Italy; admire the elegant ladies; smell the perfumes that pervade the air of the music room. Abandon yourself to the pleasure of being entertained. Be carefree tonight, tomorrow will always come.

Yours truly,
Count Pierre.

H O P E

Once upon a time there was a little woman walking lightly on a small dusty road.
She looked very old, wrinkles all over her face but her steps were easy and her smile had the exhilerant glow of a young woman.
When she sees a huddled figure at the side of the road she stops and looks down on it.
The creature sitting in the dust of the road seemed to be nearly disembodied and reminded her of a gray blanket in human form.
The little woman bent down and asked the figure:
"Who are you?"

Two lifelss eyes looked up tiredly:
"Me? I'm The Sadness...", the words emerged nothing but a whisper scarcely heard.

"Oh, The Sadness!", the old woman exclaimed as if she was meeting an old friend.

"You know me?", The Sadness asked leery.

"Well of course I do", answered the old woman. "We often went parts of our journeys together..."

"But...", The Sadness said snobbing. "Why don't you run away? Aren't you afraid?"

“But why should I run? You – of all – should know best, that you will catch everyone. What I want to ask you is: Why do you look so crestfallen?”

“I… I am sad.”, the grey shape said.

The old, little woman sat next to her and gently touched her arm.
“Sad you are…”, she said, nodding understandingly. “Why don’t you tell me what it is, that is depressing you?”

The Sadness sighed heavily.
“Well you know…”, she started hestistantly and surprised that there was someone willing to listen to her, “it’s just that nobody likes me. It’s my fate to go among humankind and be be with them. But when I do come, they shrink from me. They are afraid and avoid me like the plague.
She gulped before she went on. “They invented dicta with which they want to keep me away, they say: “ Poppycock, life’s great”, and their false laughter gives me stomach cramps and dyspnea.
They say: “ Praise what makes you hard!” and then they have heartaches.
They say: “ Pull yourself together” and they feel it pulling in their shoulders and their backs.
They say: “Only wimps cry.” And their unshed tears nearly blow up their heads.
Or they benumb themselves with alcohol or drugs so that they do not have to feel me.”

“Oh yes… I know this type of people…”, the old woman said.

The Sadness sank down a little more. “Withal I just want to help them. When I am near them, they can see themselve, be themselve. I help them building a nest, a burrow, a haven, to tend their wounds. People who are said are very sensible…  some old dolour breaks open again, like a bad healed wound and that hurts very much. But only if you accept The Sadness and sheds all the unshed tears will every truly heal.
But people do not want me to help. They wear a wide smile to hide their scars or they enscone themselves in bitterness.”

Then The Sadness was silent. First a single tear was running down her cheek, ever so slowly, then she sobbed desperately giving way to her own very The Sadness.
The small, gentle woman put her arms around the miserable figure and craddled her tenderly.

“Cry The Sadness”, she whispered softly, “take a rest to gather strenght. Henceforth you shall not walk alone. I will accompany so that the despondency will not gain any more strengh.”
The The Sadness started crying and straightened looking at her new companion in astonishement.

“But... but who are you?”, she asked.
“Me?”, the small, old woman said, smiling, “I am the Hope”

I love this story, I know it's not perfectly translated but I hope you will enjoy it anyway...

For all the Germans out there:

"Erzähl mir doch, was dich so bedrückt."
